The winners of the EGR Awards 2021 are already known
The winners of the most prestigious awards in the igaming industry have been announced at a ceremony that took place in London between the 6th and 7th of July. The EGR B2B Awards are like the Oscars of the sector. One more year there has been no luck for our nominated representatives. Both MGA Games and R. Franco Digital have left empty-handed. The developers Red Tiger, Evolution, Relax Gaming or the payment method MuchBetter have been among the winners.
This year, and despite the restrictions still in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the EGR B2B Awards 2021 ceremony wanted to give a step towards normality and it has taken place in a hybrid way: with a digital ceremony on the 6th and 7th of July and a face-to-face event at York Lawns, London, during the evening of the 7th. The last year the awards ceremony was entirely digital.
Disappointment for MGA and R. Franco
In 2020 MGA Games had been nominated in the category of innovation for mobile . Red Tiger would take the cat to the water on that occasion. But this year there were reasons to be optimistic. MGA Games celebrates its twentieth anniversary and there would be no better way to celebrate than with a prestigious award at the EGR Awards.
The judges did not want to see it that way and in the category in which the Spanish company was nominated as a mobile technology benchmark: Mobile Gaming Software Supplier , the award went to NetEnt .
A. Franco Digital has also had no luck with the nomination this year , then in the category of casino software provider the winner was Relax Gaming , which has also taken the accolade for the best bingo and poker provider. Relax Gaming is a Finnish developer with operations in Estonia, Sweden, Serbia and Gibraltar.
MuchBetter, an innovative solution at the EGR Awards
One of the most innovative payment systems that we are seeing in the digital world, MuchBetter has been recognized at the EGR Awards and has taken the innovation award for payment solutions . The one for digital payments is one of the segments that has evolved the most in recent years.
Evolution takes the prizes
But the big winner of the night has been Evolution, whose brands have won awards in different categories . As we have already mentioned, NetEnt it won the award in the category of mobile software provider, and together with Red Tiger it also won the award for its innovation in the supply and launch of new slot machine titles.
In addition, Red Tiger also won the award for the best provider for mobile, which is proof of its significant growth in the igaming market since it was acquired by Evolution. The parent company could not leave empty and was awarded for its innovation with random number software for casino games .
This year promises to be an important one for Evolution with fantastic operating results in the first quarter, expansion in Latin America and a new acquisition that seems to have already been closed: the well-known slot developer MegawaysTM Big Time Gaming will soon become part of the large Evolution family.
