MGM Resorts offers dog-sitting service

MGM Resorts has started offering a dog sitter service at some of its hotels and resorts pet-friendly , including several on the Las Vegas Strip. It includes walks and a special service that will check that the animal is fine when it is alone in the room.

For a few years now, traveling has been in fashion, whether for a weekend getaway or a multi-month trip through Southeast Asia. There are many who do not want to have to give up traveling, but they also do not want to leave their four-legged companion behind. Therefore, the accommodations have adapted to the times and many hotels accept pets in their rooms .

However, there are very few chains that have gone a step further and they have begun to offer a truly exceptional service - a babysitter for their clients' dogs at a truly affordable price.

This is the case of MGM Resorts International, which it has implemented this service in all its Las Vegas properties (Nevada) and in some in other states, such as in Massachusetts, Mississippi and Detroit.

How does the service work dog-sitting ?

First came the kangaroos for children; now come the kangaroos for puppies and pets. Anyone staying at one of the 15 MGM Resorts hotels that allow dogs , you will be able to hire the service of a canine concierge ( Doggie Concierge , or DC) who will come to the room to check that the dog is well .

With a price of $25 every 10 minutes , this service includes, in addition to the scheduled visit while the owner is away from the hotel, a photo of the animal with confirmation of its good condition and, probably, a few well-deserved caresses.

In addition, the Doggie Concierge you can also organize walks for the animal as long as the owner is not at the hotel. The price of this service varies and must be consulted directly at the accommodation.

Finally, the guest will be able to purchase a kit for his canine companion, called Buddy's Box . The package includes three baubles, a couple of toys and a bandana so that the dog is fashionable.

The list of hotels in which this service is available is very wide: many of them are additionally located on the Las Vegas Strip , the most famous section of Las Vegas Boulevard South, where 18 of the 25 largest hotels in the world are concentrated. On this list is ARIA Resort & Casino, where the LIVE MILLIONS live poker tournament in 2019 where the Spanish Ana Márquez got the third place .

Restrictions and prohibitions

There are certain restrictions on the stay of pets at MGM resorts. Each guest can stay with a maximum of two dogs , who must be well trained and educated. The weight of both cannot exceed 100 pounds of weight, about 45 kg. The price of each dog in the rooms or suites ranges from $ 50 to $ 175 per day and per animal.

Although in the room the dog may be on the loose, outside the room, the dog must always be on a leash , and their presence is not allowed in the hotel spaces where food or drinks are served, the spa and the swimming pool. For them, the hotel has designated special areas and pipicanes that will be indicated to the owner when he arrives at the hotel.

The animal cannot be left alone in the rooms. When the owner leaves the room, the animal must remain in a carrier or cage suitable for your size.
